Biographical details
Philippe Coquet received his PhD degree in Signal Processing and Telecommunications from University of Rennes 1 in France in 1993. After his PhD he joined the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) in Tokyo Japan, as a Research Fellow. In 1994 he was appointed Assistant Professor at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan in France. In 2002 he was seconded to LIMMS (Laboratory for Integrated Micro-Mechatronic Systems) IRL CNRS 2820 at the University of Tokyo until 2005. Since 2005 he is a full Professor at University of Lille France and since 2012 he has been seconded to IRL 3288 CINTRA (CNRS- International-NTU-Thales Research Alliance), a joint research laboratory between Singapore and France developing research in the field of nanotechnologies. Since 2012 he is also Adjunct Professor at the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, (EEE), NTU Singapore. At present he is the director of CINTRA, and his current research interests include the study of carbon and 2D materials for high frequency applications.
